Merrill
Eisenhower Atwater Atwater
was raised
in Huntsville, Alabama before attending Valley Forge Military Academy
in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
After
graduating Valley Forge, Atwater attended Missouri Western State
University
where graduated in December 2006 with a Bachelors of Science in
Interpersonal
Communications and European History. While
attending
Missouri Western State University, Atwater used his extensive
communications
skills by advocating for several large corporations including the
American
Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) and
Econolite, which is one of the world’s largest
transportations infrastructure
companies. While working with Econolite, Atwater consulted on the
Vehicle to
Infrastructure Integration Program (VII).
After graduation,
Atwater focused his efforts as an advocate and
spokesperson for VII specifically. He
was integral in helping to launch several new product initiatives in
the
transportation field while working with state and national government
agencies.
After the Econolite
contract
was fulfilled in 2008, Atwater became the Director of Public Relations
for
Ideal Fleets Solutions (IFS).
At IFS,
Atwater worked on a variety of government grant programs which helped
to launch
new projects for alternative energy companies located in the Kansas
City,
Missouri area. In 2008
Fox Energy
Corporation, a second generation bio-fuels development firm recruited
Atwater
to be the Vice President of New Business Development.
During
his time as Vice President, Atwater
expanded Fox Energy Corporation’s reach beyond the United
States by forging
partnerships with Central and South American bio-fuel plantations. Now
as President of New Business Development
at Fox Energy Latin America (F.E.L.a.),
Atwater’s primary focus is developing large partnerships with
international
plantations and production facilities for Jatropha, Castor Oil and Palm
Oil
productions systems.
Additionally,
Atwater is an acting Board Member of Fox Energy Corporation and is a
Principal
in both F.E.L.A. and Fox Energy Corporation. Atwater
is also the
President of KMD International Commodities Consultants which aides in
precious
metals, precious gems, and crude products market transactions. Currently
KMD International Commodities is
consulting on projects in ten different countries located in Latin
America,
Asia, and Africa.
KMD is currently in
negotiations to expand market presence into two additional counties by
the end
of the year. Atwater
has spoken
at several universities including Auburn University, The University of
Wyoming,
and has conducted the commencement ceremony at Saint John’s
Military
School.
He was also the key
note speaker
at the 50th
Anniversary celebration for People to People
International, the 50th
Anniversary of Old Bents Fort National Park,
and the 3rd
Annual Jatropha Harvest experience among many speaking
engagements.
Atwater has also served
on
several boards including a two year term on the Board of Directors for
the
American Lung Association Leadership Council from 2008 –
2010, the Chairman of
the Board of The O2 society from 2008 - 2009, the Mid American Regional
Council
- Air Quality Forum in 2009; The Executive Board of the Kansas City
Clean Air
Coalition in 2009, and the board of Citizens for MAGLEV in 2010. |
