10 AM – Hubble Bust Dedication – Attend the unveiling of the bronze bust of astronomer and Marshfield native, Edwin P. Hubble – Speaker: Tom Akers (Astronaut) and James Hall III (Sculpture Artist) – Webster County Museum

10:30 AM – “Children’s Hour” hosted by Aunt Norma Champion, host of “Children’s Hour” on KYTV from 1957-1986 – Program is open for children of all ages and will include story time (with special guest famed children’s author, William Anderson) and an activity – Webster County Library

11:05 AM – Jean Becker (former Chief of Staff to President George H.W. Bush) will be interviewed about her book, “Character Matters: And Other Life Lessons from George H. W. Bush” -Moderator, Massee McKinley – Marshfield Assembly of God

Noon – 4th Annual Rosalynn Carter Luncheon – Benefiting the Friends of Jimmy Carter organization of Plains, Georgia and celebrating the Cherry Blossom Festival’s sister festival relationship with the Peanut Festival in Plains. Rev. Tony Lowden (personal pastor to President Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter) will be interviewed by Dr. Larry Cook (Presidential Historian). 1:30 PM – “20 Years of Cherry Blossom Festival Memories” – Celebrating 20 years of the Missouri Cherry Blossom Festival – Interview with Rev. Nicholas W. Inman (CBF Founder) – Moderator, Sarah Inman -Marshfield Assembly of God

2:30 PM – “Francis Bicknell Carpenter: Painter of History, Friend of Lincoln” -Francis Carpenter’s artistic talent and love of history entwined and put him on an extraordinary lifelong journey. His passion led him to capture the likenesses of historical figures, take residence in the White House with the Lincolns and create one of America’s most iconic paintings – Presenter, Dr. Larry Cook (Presidential Historian) – In collaboration with the Larry Cook Historian Center for Presidential Research – Marshfield Assembly of God

3:30 PM – “Inside the Secret Service” Panel – A historical in-depth perspective of protecting the President, featuring former agents from President Kennedy to modern-day serving Agents – Moderator, Richard LaMotte – Marshfield Assembly of God

7 PM – The 15th Annual State Dinner will feature Patrick Duffy (Bobby Ewing, Dallas) as the keynote speaker in honor of the 20th anniversary of the Cherry Blossom Festival – Marshfield Community Center –  Tickets are $65 per person and can be purchased online (Eventbrite) or by calling 417-860-4996. This is a pink tie event (doors open at 6:30 pm).
