*All Cherry Blossom Festival tickets will go on sale on Presidents Day at 8 AM (CST). This is a list of the ticketed festival events ONLY. A full schedule will be released later as it is finalized.

Thursday, April 24:
9 AM (Son-Rise Christian Church, 673 Jump Road): WW II Patriot Breakfast- honoring our nations veterans. The breakfast will be a tribute to multiple generations of soldiers (WW II, Korea, Vietnam and Operation Iraqi Freedom). The breakfast program will feature Robert Boeke (WW II, Battle of the Bulge), George Venesky (Vietnam), Bruce Blankenship (Operation Iraqi Freedom) and others. Historian, Mary Achor will moderate. 11 AM – 1 PM (Marshfield Assembly of God Fellowship Hall, 1538 W. Washington): Enchilada Luncheon- benefiting the Fordland Memorial Library. Tickets are $12 per person, pay at the door.
12 PM (Son-Rise Christian Church, 673 Jump Road): The 3rd Annual Carolyn Grinnell Luncheon for fans of The Waltons television show. The late Carolyn Grinnell was the founder and longtime president of the Waltons International Fan Club. Kami Cotler (Elizabeth, The Waltons) will be honored and interviewed on stage-Tickets are $25 per person and can be ordered at EventBrite – 3rd Annual Walton’s Luncheon or by calling 417-860-4996.
2:30 PM (Marshfield Community Center, 110 Commercial Street): The Annual Cherry Blossom Tea; Former White House Chefs (Guy Mitchell and Michael “Woody” Raber) will be the keynote tea speakers. They will share their many memories of working in the White House for five U.S. Presidents. Admission will be $15 per person and can be ordered online at EventBrite – Cherry Blossom Tea or by calling 808-345-4975. Hats are HIGHLY encouraged for this festival event.
4:30 PM – 7 PM (Marshfield Assembly of God Fellowship Hall, 1538 W. Washington): Annual Fish Fry Dinner – benefiting the Vivian Stuber Memorial Library in Niangua. Tickets are $12 per person, pay at the door.
7 PM (doors open at 6:30 PM) (Marshfield Community Center, 110 Commercial Street): 2nd Annual Donkey Basketball- benefiting the Missouri Cherry Blossom Festival. This night of fun will feature several teams playing basketball on live donkeys-$9 per person or $13 per person at the door (open seating)- Tickets can be purchased by visiting EventBrite – Cherry Blossom Donkey Basketball. Concessions available.
Friday, April 25:
8 AM (Marshfield Assembly of God Fellowship Hall, 1538 W. Washington): Laura Ingalls Wilder Breakfast- The Laura Ingalls Wilder Home and Museum hosts, “Nellie’s Breakfast”-benefiting the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children’s Literature Festival. The program will feature a panel interview with members of the “Wilder family” from Little House on the Prairie. Panel participants will include Jennifer Donati (Rose Wilder) and others. Alison Arngrim (Nellie Oleson) will serve as the moderator. ~~~~~SOLD OUT~~~~~
12:45 PM (Marshfield Assembly of God Fellowship Hall, 1538 W. Washington): Wilson’s Creek Foundation Luncheon- benefiting the Wilson’s Creek Battlefield Foundation. Dr. Bill Piston (Civil War Historian) will moderate a panel on “Women of the Civil War Era” with Margaret Hayes Clark (great granddaughter of President Rutherford B. Hayes), Massee McKinley (great, great nephew of President William McKinley) and Christy Lindberg (former NP Ranger, Lincoln Home National Historic Site). Celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield Foundation. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased by calling 417-861-9905 or online at www.wilsonscreek.com.
2 PM (Jubilee Theatre, 109 Commercial Street): Cherry Blossom Wreath making with Sherilyn Weter-designing a springtime wreath (16” size grapevine wreath) that can be used in any home to welcome each Cherry Blossom Festival. 4:35 PM (Marshfield Assembly of God Fellowship Hall, 1538 W. Washington): “Cooking with the First Ladies Man”- Andrew Och will lead a cooking demonstration with Allethea Wall (Sister of Rosalynn Carter) and Julie Wall-Smith (Niece of Rosalynn Carter). They will share stories and favorite recipes from the former first lady and Plains, Georgia. 6:30 PM (Marshfield Assembly of God Fellowship Hall, 1538 W. Washington): The 20th Annual Hubble Dinner- where Marshfield’s highest honor is presented, The Edwin P. Hubble Medal of Initiative. The dinner will honor Tina Cole (My Three Sons), Dorinda Nicholson (Pearl Harbor Child), Martha Nix Wade (Serena Burton, The Waltons) and others. Saturday, April 26:
Noon (Marshfield First Baptist Church, 1001 S. White Oak): MHS Alumni Luncheon- The 14th annual luncheon for the alumni of Marshfield High School, featuring Lola Fern Day’s FAMOUS cashew chicken served by her family. Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased by calling 417-689-2098.
Noon (Marshfield Assembly of God Fellowship Hall, 1538 W. Washington): The 4th Annual Rosalynn Carter Luncheon – This luncheon further celebrates the Cherry Blossom Festival’s sister festival relationship with the Peanut Festival in Plains. Rev. Tony Lowden (personal pastor to President Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter) will be interviewed by presidential historian Dr. Larry Cook. The fried chicken luncheon will reflect a Southern menu. 7 PM (doors open at 6:30 PM) (Marshfield Community Center, 110 Commercial Street): The 15th Annual State Dinner will feature a SURPRISE keynote speaker in honor of the 20th Anniversary of the Cherry Blossom Festival.
